My Approach

Creating an environment where my clients can become present, aware and responsible for their choices is paramount to me.  Although experiences carried from the past have a direct impact on who we are today, it is "how" we carry those experiences that is addressed in the therapy setting. And it is focusing on the "how" that allows for the choice to change.

As a therapist, it is my responsibility to be available to you, to support you and to challenge you in order to be the catalyst in your growth. My practice is about seeing you as a whole person. You are not defined by what you look like, your strengths, your weaknesses or your past. You are a puzzle that is formed by all of those individual pieces and you look very different once all of those pieces are put together. It is then that you are whole. It is then that you become human.

Humour plays a large role in my practice. I believe therapy is a place for hope and feeling good about yourself. It's hard work, no doubt about that, but that doesn't mean that it has to be unpleasant.
